Come back to Jamaica!!!!

The first week back in Jamaica has been an adjustment, a little hard but good. The heat has been tremendous and adding a new little one to the mix has also been challenging. We are ready now to host some teams and get back into the groove!! On Friday June 1st, we flew out of D/FW airport with 12 checked pieces of luggage and 7 carry ons and 7 personal bags (and a new little one with carseat/stroller in tow)! Can we say "overloaded"? Thankfully, it was a direct flight because one of our dear sweet supporters paid the way!! It was truly a blessing. So that morning, we got to the ticket counter and we were sharing with the agent what we were doing...come to find out he was Jamaican and grew up near where we live. With 12 pieces of checked luggage and 8 that would have been free, we would have paid for four...until the American airline agent said he would "cover the cost"! Thank you God! Found favor that early Friday morning on a very hard day of saying good-byes to family and friends. Our flight was wonderful and easy. The children were great, even Zachary did well. We arrived in MoBay at 2:30pm and went straight to Wendy's for lunch with fellow CCCD missionaries Ben & Krista Beukema. We came home to a work team here from Georgia and had supper with them. The deaf students that were here for the weekend got to see baby Zachary. They liked him and thought that Zach looks like both Jeffrey Jr and Matthew. We unpacked a little at a time and by Tuesday we were completely unpacked with suitcases in the attic. Yippee!!! Now, time to put everything in its proper place. We came back to two interns being here. They had been here for several weeks and were pretty settled into somewhat of a routine. Tiffany Coffling and Ashley Anderson were very helpful with gathering information about the students and helping out in the classrooms. We loved having them here. Interns are a blessing to the missionaries, students, and the staff!! They just seem to be willing to do whatever needs to be done without grumbling or complaining! That makes it so easy for us....thanks ladies!!! God is good!!! Jodi
